Initially, I was looking for a covered dish I could microwave asparagus and found this set which the smallest dish would work for the asparagus, but I liked the other sizes had covers. So often you can find dishes to use in the microwave, but they don’t include the covers necessary for steaming and cooking in the microwave oven.
The first set I received two of the dishes were cracked and broken. Hey, **it happens, but I returned them to Amazon with no problem and ordered them again. I got the replacement set the next day and none of them were broken. I am very happy with the set I received the second time.
Although the product description says these would be good for lasagna, I don’t believe they are deep enough unless your lasagna is two layers. I wouldn’t use this type of container for freezing, but the sizes provided are so useful for baking, cooking, or rewarming either in the microwave or the oven. the greatest depth of any of these dishes is 2.1″, but this is enough for cooking a casserole, cake, or for roasting. The covers fit tight, but almost to a fault.. It’s difficult to get them off once you get them on. For my purposes, this isn’t a problem as I don’t plan to use them for more than a cover to steam or rewarm in the microwave. For this purpose, the covers don’t have to be, and shouldn’t be, totally pushed down onto the dishes. If the covers are pushed down and sealed for use in the microwave, the pressure from steam would pop them off. If you push on one end and not the other, the steam can be safely released. In addition, I very much like having the covers to keep foods warm for serving. For this purpose, I also don’t totally push down the lids as they are difficult to get them off.
I particularly like the smallest of the set for steaming corn on the cob and asparagus in the microwave. It can be difficult to find a microwave container with a cover that is long enough for these foods and not too wide. The smallest dish can be used to steam 2-3 large cobs.
At this point, I am very happy with the multitude of uses these covered dishes provide. I love that they nest for storage and take very little storage space. From my experience, I would recommend these covered dishes.

Beautiful dish set, packaged well, when it finally arrived. High quality, feels great sturdy and substantial, lids fit and so far 1 dish used so far, bake, fridge storage…all good. Glass upon initial inspection all good condition, excellent quality. Would highly recommend this glass dish set from this manufacturer for self or gift. So far so good.Beautiful dish set, from packaging, padding to quality of the items MCirco item is excellent, amazon logistics messed up the delivery, but when it did arrive…and was actually delivered ..beautiful baking dish set kudos to this vendor/sellar for a great product…holding up so far (bake, fridge,) lids work great, dishes are a bit more shallow than other dish (from diff vendor) BUT they are longer. Overalls very happy with this set. Extremely impressed with the quality of this packaged glass dish set… 5 stars MCIRCO glass dish baking set.

In theory these are wonderful when you see the photos and think that the bad reviews are just from A few unlucky folks.
1) they don’t nest or stack very well which is shoddy design.
2) the lid on the largest dish melted a little and deformed after I put the lid on right after taking the dish out of the oven. My bad probably because it made it harder to get the lid on after trying to cut off the melted whiffs of plastic. So when you read that t is safe in all kinds of places it might lead you to be complacent like myself.

3) because of 1 and 2. I would not by these again or recommend them due to the extra space needed because they don’t nest well and they don’t stack safely with lids on; they will slide around and fall off if bumped.
4) I never do reviews and I think mine is honest AF. Because I’m cheap sometimes- I will continue to use them in this case because they still function at a minimum- I have more glass dishes. My one large one I had experienced a catastrophic failure by someone else who knows less about the kitchen than myself 🙃

This is a great set of dishes. Oven safe so we can bake in it, serve in it, and store in it inside the fridge. One broke so we had to return them but we ordered a replacement set because of how happy we were with this purchase.
