About 25% of these weren’t even hemmed all the way around. Which I discovered when a regular run thru the washer left me with a tangled knot of threads and unraveling cloth. During that first wash, they also lost about half of their color, and on the 3 run thru, they were STILL bleeding blue on everything. Yes, they’re absorbent, but for this price I could have bought a few new bath towels, cut up the old ones myself, and had far less mess to deal with! >:-(

These are great for routine household chores. Matter of fact, they can be used as napkins for routine family meals if you don’t mind the rough look of them. The only thing, though, is that the colors do run so make sure you wash them with like colors the first time they’re tossed in the washing machine. Edited: You’ll need to wash them more than once before the color stops running. Still, good buy.

I use these as “paper towels” in my kitchen. I had bought a different brand a few years ago in light colors (tan and gray), but I couldn’t find those anymore so I opted for these blue towels to supplement what I already had. I washed them in hot with soap two times by themselves before using them. They still dyed my entire load of rags blue when I washed them all together. They arrived a much darker blue than the picture shows and definitely dye things when washing. I would wash these separately or with things you don’t mind also being blue.
