  1. KAREN STAFFORD

Me encantó este libro, que obvio se deben manejar contrastes en las fotos sobre todo en los blancos. me gusta que las medidas se proporciones en metros, me cuesta un poco la traducción pero está digerible.

Loooooove this book. Really interesting patterns and things that you haven’t seen a million times elsewhere. They’re also easy patterns to use as guides, but make your own adjustments and unique patterns. My only very minor criticism is that while the knot guides are done very well and simple to understand, the white cord on the white background is very hard to see. I’ve been doing this for a decade, so I know what they are but it might be tricky for beginners to see. Still doesn’t even feel worth knocking it down a star, but something to keep in mind for future books. Can’t wait to make my table runners for my friends wedding!

  3. Erin O Connor

I have been doing macrame for a very long time and this is one of the best macrame books I have ever purchased. It’s well written, very informative and gives easy to follow instructions as well as really good tips for things like fixing mistakes, unraveling rope, etc. This book taught me a lot and is very useful for anyone from beginning to advanced macrame.

The book seems great, EXCEPT….the font is so teeny tiny!! I wear readers and never have a problem reading most anything…EXCEPT this book. I really wish it was in a little bigger-bolder font, especially because we’re trying to follow instructions, etc. For that reason, I’m probably going to return it.

  5. S. OBryan

There are so many projects and precise directions. I made my first fancy plant hanger last night.

  6. Lori Howe

I bought this as a novice in micro-macrame hemp bracelets looking to go to a bigger scale, but my main worry was, “does it show me the knots I need?” The answer was yes, it does contain detailed step-by-step color photos of the basic knots you need for the patterns in the book! It has a pretty great balance of text and photo examples, so it’s great for a visual learner like me. The projects are a range of difficulties for macrame lovers of all skill levels to enjoy, and it even explains ways to make variations of the patterns to create unique pieces for your home. I’ll definitely be jumping into the rest of the macrame world as soon as possible!

I would recommend this once you have watched some YouTube videos , but dies explain the knits etc well once you have an idea what you’re doing

  8. Brandon Stark

I love this book! It has lots of great projects with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. The book itself is beautifully done with pretty fonts and lots of inspirational photos. I just finished my first project (which looks like it needs a bit more trimming!) I can’t wait to start on another project. I will definitely get this author’s other book on macrame.

  9. S. OBryan

If you already know your nots and what nots than this book is a perfect fit for you, but if you do not know your nots and your completely “NEW” to this I wouldn’t recommend it.

  10. Brandon Stark

After having bought several macrame books (as a complete beginner) and having time to check out each book and make a few projects, I feel like I can finally leave a review.
If you are hesitating to pick a macrame book from Amazon, do not wait in this one (or any other macrame books by this author)!
Things that are great about this book that others have fallen short on:
    1) Amazing photos. Clear, beautiful pictures. Easy to see the steps.
    2) Beautiful projects. Wide variety of projects to try! Need I say more?
    3) Well-explained steps, beginner information, where to source materials, etc.
    4) Clear information. Tells you what size/length of material you need, the approximate skill level for each project and refers you back to the knots resource pages by page number for each knot used in the project. Can’t say how helpful this was to easily flip through the book and find exactly what I needed.

I have been very surprised at the poor quality of photos, lack of photos for the project end result, unclear directions, and how many other books rely on drawings to show steps. This book does none of that.

Can’t recommend this book enough. Wish the author would come out with another book!
