After taking a spare paring knife that couldn’t cut a lime. I rant it through each set of steps (cleaning i between each step) 10 times ea. and the knife was incredibly dull still. Knowing good and well I would likely have to reproduce the bevel with the course stone I ran it through the course side until I got a great even steady pull. Then cleaned and used for the medium, and again cleaned and used for the ceramic. They cut now. I have stones and $300 sharpening rigs for several expensive blades that put what I am convinced to be the sharpest edge can be put on a blade. This thing. It keeps the wife happy. It’s compact and consistent and I don’t have to go to the shop to profile a kitchen knife. So yeah. $20 for mediocre, there ya go.

I tried a few other sharpeners and they all seem to be cheap and lost the ability to sharpen, however this one is great! I sharpened all my knives. Once I started I could not stop and it was so easy. I followed the instruction and did 6 swipes on each level and the knives are excellent like brand new now. I only tried two of the knives that had the beveled edges and it seemed to work fine. Most of my knives are straight edged. I really like it easy to hold has rubberized grip and bottom.

I really like this sharpener it does great and it’s easy to use. Read the instructions, being a guy I didn’t think I needed to… but you do… my wife luckily did read them and it give very specific amounts of time you should pass the blade through for how dull the blade maybe.

This is simple to use and worked just fine for me. It was quick and easy to use, but was not the best sharpener I’ve ever used. It was easy enough to operate, and my spouse had no issue. It did take a few more passes than I liked. My only complaint was the sharpener didn’t polish the edge well. For a simple sharpener, however, I think it did just fine. I didn’t notice any damage to blades, so that is great for a simple sharpener. Finally, the reason for a 4 star review as the serrated edge sharpener. It didn’t do a great job with a serrated edge. Passible, but nowhere near as good as the other settings.
