This tincture really helps lessen my dog’s persistent cough. I stopped using it for a while and noticed a marked increase in her coughing (frequency and duration of episodes). The product itself is 5 stars. The reason for my 3 star rating is because the company has changed from a glass to a plastic bottle. Not only will a tincture break down more readily when stored in plastic, the plastic can react with the tincture or leach dangerous chemicals over time. Thankfully I have a glass bottle to use instead but I am still a bit worried about how long the liquid has already been inside the plastic bottle…. Since the company sells many tinctures, I know they are well aware of the unnecessary risk of using plastic. Hoping they quickly reconsider their cost-saving decision in favor of a quality product.

This stuff is GOLD! My dog not only likes the taste but he went from coughing fits (collapsing trachea) almost every hour, to only coughing once or twice a day. It works better than the cough medicine he was given. He has so much more energy because he isn’t tired from coughing and he is happier and more comfortable. We can also get a good nights sleep. We will keep buying it. Do note it is thick and a bit drippy out of the bottle if you don’t close it tightly.

My dog has had a tracheal cough for a long time. He is on Hydrocodone, but to make that last longer and to just use the px on bad days, this actually really helps.
We tried putting it in his food for prevention, but we found it is better just to administer it from the dropper when he has a cough attack. Sometimes it helps instantly for out dog, other times it takes a couple of minutes. This is actually our second purchase and we plan to keep using it.

Our 14 year old Chihuahua mix Blue was diagnosed with a partially collapsed trachea which triggered a constant deep cough day and night. After a few days on Throat Gold his coughing subsided substantially. Now 2 weeks later it has almost 100% gone. This product has worked wonders for our boy! Highly recommend! A+ and well worth the money!

I really hate to give a bad review for a pet wellness product, but I ordered this for my 17 year old dog with a collapsed trachea, based on the great reviews. Unfortunately, I can’t say whether or not it works (in all honesty it may) because after trying it a few times, my dog refuses to go anywhere near it. My dog (who loves to eat and has never been picky before) literally runs away when I try to give it to her. I tried hiding it in her food that she loves with toppers etc. but she just won’t touch it. So after trying it repeatedly for a few days unsuccessfully, I tried to return it, only to learn it isn’t eligible. There seems to be no way to return it, or even complain about it (not good for a product that costs almost $50). I regularly use various other wellness products for her and have never had any issues before. Almost all others have some type of money back guarantee that if your pet doesn’t like it or it doesn’t work, they will refund your money. Unfortunately this doesn’t. I really wanted it to work and had no issue with spending the money on her, and if they had simply offered a guarantee or a refund I would not have written this review. But the company really should stand behind its products.

My poor 16 year old Maltese has progressively been dealing with a collapsing trachea for years. In the last month it’s gotten so much worse. Recent trip to the vet only resulted in a prescription that did nothing. So I broke and purchased this medication, which is quite expensive only for it to not work as well. I’ve been giving this to him as recommended for the last almost week and no results at all.

My dog is caughing for nearly 2 years now. After first 2 week caugh session I went to the vet with him. They diagnosed heart murmur but they said the caugh has nothing to do with the heart because it is too early stage of the murmur. Maybe it is allergy or maybe his throat is irritated by something. No answer and the caugh still there. Went to the vet in 6 months. Stronger heart murmur but caugh ignored again. After nearly 2 years I finally decided to push for tests and see what is wrong with my baby. They did x-ray, blood test and took him for one day observation. I found out that his trachea is narrowed and in his age – he is 8 there is really nothing that can be done. Heart is affected by low air stream not going through the trachea properly. We got heart pills but caugh was still there. I even bought human robitussin (natural), gave him honey and some organic throat syrups but nothing until I found this medicine. For me it was AMAZING. My dog stopped caughing almost completely. His throat is not constantly itritated beacuse of persistent caugh and he has better and more normal life. I could not believe how great this product was. It does not interfere with other pills because it is natural. My dog does not like the taste but he is very picky in everything. Buy this for trachea collapse or trachea narrowing – you will not regret.

My 12 year old Yorkie has had a horrible cough that has progressively worsened over the past few months due to his collapsing trachea. He has coughing episodes throughout the day nearly every time he moves. We’ve tried cough suppressants and a few other meds to no avail. We were actually considering euthanizing him because we felt so bad about the constant cough and the discomfort that it must be causing him.
On a whim we found Throat Gold and decided to give it a shot. We couldn’t tell if we noticed a difference on the first day. I think it improved right away but we were in disbelief. Three days in, we have noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement! I cannot emphasize the word significant enough. He can now play, roll over, jump on and off the furniture and even bark at other dogs (though we try to avoid that) without going into a coughing fit.
Rarely do I take the time post reviews unless I’m blown away and I’ve gotta say, this stuff is amazing! The price on this item is soaringly high! But my cat’s caught a respiratory upper infection or feline herpes and this worked well to keep the infection reduced until I could get antibiotics.
