I ordered the copper color which is rose gold rather than copper. As other reviews have stated, the LED lighting is very bright. The lighting is almost blue in color rather than a more ambient warm white that I was hoping for. The brightness does make it somewhat difficult to read sometimes. Despite this, it’s still unique and cute and has caught the eye of some of my guests wanting to know where I got it!

You cannot miss this is the first thing you see when you walk into a room. It is very brightly lit. I do not have the best eyesight in the world, but I can see this from across the room without my glasses on.
Very sleek in modern design. Everyone has a Clock but how many of them have a clock like this.
    Well-built, accurate time.

Some letter are brighter and can seem blurry from a distance. It is a fun novelty but not a good source of exact time.

I have this on my desk at work and every new visitor comments on this, having never seen anything like it before. Highly recommended as not only a quirky and practical decoration, but as a reliable conversation starter.

Given it sells for a fraction of the original Qlocktwo clocks which are €9000 and still creates the same unique mood, I won’t complain. It is very bright though, so not at all appropriate to have in the bedroom. While the unit doesn’t take batteries (weird), you can plug it into a USB compatible power bank which will last for a long time given the clock itself uses very little power.

So I was snorkling laughing gas in the dentist’s chair as she drilled and fracked for the oil in a big molar. My dentist is a tricky one, she had this mounted on the ceiling. In my gassed state, I stared at it. And, stared some more. It was of course mesmerizing and as intended, it attracted my full attention sorting through all the possible word combinations that make it work.

My anxious imagination would suggest that drilling went on for hours. But, the word clock told a different story. It didn’t budge. It wasn’t broken. Drill time turned out to be much quicker than the changing letter pattern on the clock. An impressive demonstration of the relative dimension of time. I complimented the dentist on the creative idea.

I thought about it for a couple of days after the dentist and finally tried to find it. I searched a couple of terms that I thought would describe the device and hit the money on “Word Clock”.

It’s a curious device. Bright enough to be legible in daylight or bright artificial light, it’s quite illuminating at night. It’s like a memory time stamp. I’m using it as a bathroom clock/night light.

It’s a typical “Sharper Image” gizmo. I like it. Hope the Xmas gift recipients enjoy it. Nice value for money. It’s an item you won’t forget.

This is a holiday gift for a minimalist!

  9. J Secret Gift

I received this as a gift and love the way it looks. A little bright for a nightstand but can easily be turned in another direction. Love it!

We had to wrap ours with yellow cellophane plastic or else it is too bright. Also, it bello over and the cord caught, causing damage to the plug in the clock, where the cord enters the device. IT won’t stay on now. But, that was our fault so I sill like the clock. Wow.. it is so bright!
