My Frenchie and Boston Terrier had these chewed and broken in one day. Cute and fun toy but only if you have a dog who is non-aggressive at play.

Initially my Westie was hesitant to play with it, but after a few hours kept him busy. He soon figure out that if you pick it up by the hard part and walk around it won’t run away and even with the toy set at fast mode he just got down to chomping on it and as you can see in the picture, found the weak spot and started picking at the plastic until it started falling apart and I had to get rid of it before he ate it and got sick.

Couple of other things, the motor/hard part is quite hard and I was initially worried it could hurt the pup, but he was not bothered, then I noticed it slams quite hard into baseboards and that did have me worried from noise to damage. If you live in a Condo/Apartment with hardwood floors it can be quite noisy for your neighbors.

This is the best interactive dog toy out there! Lasts for hours of play before needing recharging and comes with a charging cord. No batteries to keep replacing! My doxies love it. Very sturdy and quality materials. Well worth the money.

Our Chihuahua loves it right away. Chased it, caught it, brought it to me. Our pit bull was afraid of it for the first week. Cried at it, growled at it, tried to touch it from too far away. Finally had the courage to get close, and it keeps him busy for a while. New favorite toy. He’s always looking for it and hates when we take it away to charge it.

From the moment I turned it on and it moved, my dog was instantly engaged. She spent the next two hours constantantly yapping at it and darting in to bit it when it moved, but never close enough to get hit by the spinning rope. When it stopped, she yapped and bit at the rope. Within a half-hour, she was dragging it around the house. She loves to put it in her doggie bed but then hops out of the bed when it begins to move.

The off-on feature where it goes off for a few minutes every hour, or every 15-30 seconds if it is moved, is great. It gives my Yorkie a break to go take a nap. Then an hour later when it reactivates, she can decide to continue sleeping or jump up and play with it.

I charge it up overnight and turn it on in the morning when I go to work, knowing that if she gets bored, she has something to play with.

I saw some complaining that their larger dogs chew it up and destroy it and I can see that happening, but my small Yorkie has only done minor damage to the rope and it comes with a spare so no worries.

My puppy loves this toy! It’s easy to use and keeps him entertained for a long time. Not a toy he’s going to be bored with soon.
I like that it has different settings and that’s it easy to charge.

I’ve never seen a dog toy that continued to fascinate my dog this much: something he can play with on his own and spend hours and hours everyday. My mornings are a lot better with this!

A few improvements the manufacturer could make: have a way for us to turn it on and charge it without removing a cap. I have almost lost that cap quite often and it’s the least durable thing.

As to the ropes: it would be better if it wasn’t a cotton rope: that thing gets so full of dog slobber it gets disgusting. Maybe a silicone rope or something?

My 6.5 pound chihuahua is a hard chewer, but has a small mouth. It’s super hard to find toys for her because most toys don’t cater to a small, strong mouth. The other issue, is that she loses interest really easily. So… she’ll only play with most toys for a minute.
I bought this for her because it looked like she could get her mouth on it, or at least the rope part, it’s interactive so, hopefully, wouldn’t lose interest, and it looked pretty sturdy.
I’d say it checked most of those boxes. She can pretty easily get her mouth on most of it. But like most reviewers have noted, the rope doesn’t stand up really well to hard chewing. On the other hand, it tends to move before she has a chance to really fray the rope, and the rope can be easily replaced by something sturdier.
You definitely need to watch your dog while playing with this toy because the charge doesn’t last long, especially when your chihuahua has figured out how to stand on the rope to keep it still while she chews through it!
But honestly, I’d buy it again. She enjoys it so much!
