I bought these to hang in a tree. The effect is lovely – really lights up well at night. Unfortunately one of the hanging mechanisms was faulty and impossible to hook. While trying, the mason slipped out of the casing and smashed. A shame, but the other three look great.

These lights are a great value for the price. The jars are cute with built in handles. The lights and jar tops were very easy to unwrap and turn on. They were packaged well and high quality. I recommend for use either with or without the jars. For example I am using just the light portion as solar lights in other lanterns I have. I plan to use the jars for tea lights. Very versatile.

I have had them hanging from our fence line and branches of our Ash Tree since we first moved into our old home (2018.) They really do look like fireflies in mason jars. Not only are they beautiful but I’ve only had to replace some of the lids sporadically over all this time

Edited Feb 20, 2020 OK had these for about a year and these are the best ones out there by far. I ordered from another Amazon page just the parts to go with my own jars, because I couldn’t remember which ones I originally bought. So the new one I am still testing WILL NOT stay lit til midnight. It’s out by 9pm. These stay lit all night into the next day, and until the Sun is up completely I can still see the lights working in the jars. Now I know what I ordered it’s now in my List for eternity for reordering. I hope these are still the same good quality, long lasting Solar Lights.
After a year of being outside hanging on Shepherds Hooks the lids are showing some wear and rust but my goodness that is certainly expected. The Lights are so long lasting that I am shocked and so Happy for the quality of the wiring and lids. Jars are jars, it’s the quality of the wiring that is important.
Original posted review: So much fun…I bought from Amazon the 3 lbs Acrylic Cube things to suspend the light wires in the jar…LOVE IT…great buy. All of them work well. As far as how long they stay lit…Full charge they last for several hours. Not quite all night, but that is ok for me.

I have ordered these lights at least 4 times. Sometimes you can change the batteries and get another year out of them. Some sets don’t have this option. Read carefully.
